📌 New Feature: Smarter Proof Types for Better Quality & Easier Reviews



We’re always listening to both sides of our community: buyers and freelancers. This month, we’re introducing a new feature that makes life easier for everyone: specialized proof types for microjobs.

Whether you’re a buyer tired of reviewing inconsistent proofs, or a freelancer frustrated by duplicate detection issues, this update is for you.

What’s New?

Until now, we only had two proof types: Text and Screenshot. We’ve now expanded this to 8 proof types: Date, Date & Time, Email Address, List of Options (single/multiple choice), Number, and URL, plus the existing Text and Screenshot.

For Freelancers: Cleaner Submissions

✅ No more unnecessary duplicates.

Duplicate detection now applies only to Text proofs. Email, URL, Date, and other new types will not be flagged as duplicates.

✅ Format validation built in.

  • Email: Must be valid ([email protected]). No extra text allowed.
  • URL: Must include http:// or https://. No spaces or extra text. 
  • Date & Time: Built-in selector, no manual typing errors. 
  • Number: Only numeric values accepted. 
  • List of Options: Select from the options the buyer defined (single or multiple choice).

For Buyers: Easier Reviews

✅ Choose the right proof type.

Select the proof type that matches what you need, the system will enforce it automatically.

✅ Automatic validation saves time.

Email, URL, date/time, and number formats are validated automatically. For List of Options, freelancers can only select from the options you define. No more manual checking.

✅ Cleaner reviews.

Freelancers can’t add extra text to proofs. You see exactly what you asked for.

Important Note for Buyers

Always select the correct proof type. If you choose “Text” when you actually need an email, URL, date, or a list of options, the system won’t validate the format properly, leading to messy submissions and harder reviews.

🎁 Bonus: Target Device. Show Your Microjob to the Right Freelancers

When creating a microjob, go to “Job Settings” → “Target Device” and choose:

  • All: Show to freelancers on any device (default)
  • Desktop: Show only to freelancers on desktop computers.
  • Mobile: Show only to freelancers on smartphones or tablets.

Now, freelancers will only see your microjob if they are using the device you selected, even if you don’t mention it in the microjob itself.
