February Updates: Express Jobs, Video Marketing Timer, and OCR Search (Beta) for Buyers.

This month we’re bringing you 3 new features designed to make your life easier: posting simple MicroJobs in seconds, guaranteeing real views on Watch subcategory, and instantly finding specific submissions (the last one is in beta).

Two are already available. The third one? We want you to try it. 🧪

🚀 1. Express Jobs vs. Classic Jobs: Choose the Best Option for Your MicroJob!

Not all MicroJobs are the same, so why post them the same way? With this update, we’re giving you the option to choose between maximum speed or maximum control, depending on what you need.

Here’s the difference at a glance:

Choose 🚀 EXPRESS if: 

• Your task is a single step (like, simple sign-up, subscribe).

• You want ultra-fast results (top of page + 100% distribution).

• The freelancer’s country doesn’t matter (only available in the international zone).

• You’re open to all freelancer levels (from Starter to Expert).

Choose 🎯 CLASSIC if:

• Your task has multiple steps or is more complex.

• You need freelancers from specific countries.

• You want to control the distribution speed (20%, 50%, 100%).

• You prefer to filter by freelancer level (e.g., Experts only).

📌 Important note: The minimum price for Express Jobs is 25% higher than Classic (e.g., from $0.08 to $0.10), but the posting and execution speed make up for it.
👉 Now available. When posting, you can choose the option that fits best.

⏱️ 2. New Feature on Video Marketing category: Watch Time Timer

We’ve implemented a new feature for Buyers who post on Watch subcategory: a timer that ensures freelancers watch videos for the full required duration.

How it works:

• The freelancer sees a timer showing the minimum watch time required.

• The “submit proof” button stays disabled until the time is up.

• If they try to bypass it, an alert appears.

• The timer can only be active on one campaign at a time (if they open another microjobs in a new tab, the first one stops).

Why it matters:

• Prevents rushed or invalid submissions.
• Helps ensure more genuine views.
• Built for high-volume buyers who can’t review every submission manually.

📌 Note: Currently only available in Video Marketing → Watch sub-categories. Not applicable for revision tasks, those still require manual review.
👉 Now available. You can activate this feature by choosing the corresponding subcategory (Watch).

🔍 3. Smart Task Search + OCR (BETA)

Reviewing tasks just got a lot smarter. We’ve introduced new search tools for Buyers to help you find specific submissions quickly. No more scrolling through hundreds of entries.

What’s included:

🔤 Text Search:

• Search for specific words or phrases within submitted tasks.
• Great for quickly locating correct answers or verifying proofs.

🖼️ Visual Text Search (OCR):

• We now use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to read screenshots and extract text from images.
• This means you can search for text inside image proofs, even if the freelancer submitted a screenshot.

Current status:

• OCR is currently in testing phase.
• It’s available for new campaigns only, and only for Buyers who request access.

Example:

Let’s say your task requires a screenshot that includes the word “thank you”, just type “thank you” into the search bar, and the system will show you only the submissions where that word appears in the image, thanks to OCR.
